17X9.5 wheels?
Iam gonna be ordering some 17X9.5 torq thrust ii wheels for the rear of my camaro in a couple days and I had a few questions. I ran a search and came up with this information: Backspacing Rear: 5.5", and Bolt Circle: 5x4.75". With this set up would there be any rubbing issues with sportline lowering springs? Also I am running 245/45 zr17 in the front and was wondering what would look best and not rub on a lowered car, i dont want the sidewall to be bigger in the front. Thanks for the help

There may be some slight rubbing on the front at full lock to lock and or if lowered more than 1.5 inches. I say 245 is perfect for the front, but you can go up to a 275. Not sure if you are going with 9.5" wide rims on the front, if so I wouldnt go with a 245, id go with a 255 or 275 or 265 if available.
I think the best the look is 17 X 8 with 235-245/45s front and 17 X 9.5 with 275-285/40s on rear.

Ok, Thanks. The situitaion that Iam in is I bought the car with 16" up front and 17" out the back. I hate the look of the 16" with their thick side wall so Iam swapping the 17X8" that were originally in the rear and now they are going up front, to make room for the new 17X9.5 out the back.

The 245/45-17 and the 275/40-17 are both correct tire sizes for our cars, each having a total diameter of 25.7". Simply put, when you punchout a 17" hole in the center of each, you'll be left with the same amount of tire on each.
With the same size tires all the way around, they could be rotated(if that's important to you). Though I'd prefer to have the 275/40s, they're too wide for 8" rims, whereas the 245/45s will work on both rim sizes, 8" and 9.5".
But for combining different sizes, the 245/45(fronts) and 275/40(rears) would be ideal, both aesthetically and for everyday performance.

I am running 9.5 x17 with 5.5 backspacing on all 4 corners with 275/40/17s
No problems. Car is lowered and measures 26 inches from fender lip to ground.

My only question is.... on those wheels, what backspacing do you have?
And what was the purpose of having 17x9s in the back? So you could run wider tires?
