I know you can get 315 under their with some inner fender "adjustments". I don't know if thats the widest though.

If you wanna be totally insane, like myself.........go with
W...I...D...E.... 335/35/17. It is by far not the easiest way to go, but it can be done. I am doing it now. Check my site for all kinds of pics, and intall issues. If you are looking for bolt in easiness, stick to the high 200 series range. like 295's. Good luck and once I have it all installed and on the road and such i will post pics.
Lemme know what you think

They stick out right now. About 2 cm. But I am not done building the car. I am in the initial stages of modding the back inner fenders. I have cut out quite a bit, you can see pic on my site.
I will eventually get them to "tuck" fully. I think i am gonna have the rear a bit higher cuz I like the look. Maybe an inch higher than the front. The motor will be in there soon, so that will let me know how the car going to sit better.
It is all docimented on my site with over 150 pics. check it out

I have 295-35-18 on Z06 wheels. They are plenty wide enough (almost 12") and dont stick out at all. Its not a 4th gen rear, but a 9" with 2" spacers on each side which makes it the same width as a 4th gen rear.

Awsome, good luck with the widening. I have herd of guys doing that. Should look good.
The only reason I am going with 335's right now is cuz i got them, also with 2 275's up front from a guy that had a Viper. He sold all 4 to me for just over 200 bucks, shipped. So I wan't gonna complain about the rear being a bit too wide. These tires are just for tunning and setting everything up. Once all the suspention is adjusted properly and alligments done and such, I will buy a nice set of Michellin Pilot sports, 315's. Till then the little stick out is fine. Not like I am driving the car anyways.
On top of all I just said, I have never seen a third gen with "tucked" 335's. It would take a crap load of inner fender modding. And I mean not tubbing, just cutting and stuff. i am not saying i am gonna try this, but chances are I am gonna take a swing at it.
