Sway bar fitment Compatibility

Ive noticed different sized sway bars from different packages - WS6, 1LE, plus all the aftermarket ones. I got a set of WS6 sway bars (from what I was told) and they measure 36mm/24mm. I believe these fit fine on a 3rd gen, right?

What size sway bars were offered on a 4th gen WS6 car? And would the 36/24 bars fit on a 4th gen car as well? Im not sure what can and cant be swapped.
Thanks

The rears are the same between the 3rd and 4th gens. The fronts are different. Also the bars on the 4th gens are way smaller because of the different suspension design.

The WS6 36/24mm combo is the biggest combo offered by GM.

So its safe to say that a 36mm front sway bar wont fit on a 4th gen?

That's correct.

I have insatlled the 36/24mm setup on my thirdgen as well, with some polyurethane bushings and new endlinks, wow it works great.

Ya i was pretty sure 36/24 works on a third gen but what about a 4th gen? I have a friend that wants to buy them for his '99 WS6.

So I can at least give him the rear 24mm one

Would 1.5 inch hollow one affect the rest of the front suspension (hit anything or just not fit)?

The bar is a completely different design on the 4th gens. Different dimensions, etc.

The rear one will bolt right in. I have a 4th gen rear in my car and opted to keep my 24mm bar instead of the 17mm one taht was on the 4th gen rear I got

Thanks for the info. So i guess ill have to sell my 36 to a 3rd gen and look for a 32/34mm 4th gen piece.
