275 X 35- 18 fit on Camaro
I have a set of 18 X 8.5 rims by Foose Lusso and would like to put 275X35-18 on the rear, but looking at many websites they recommend a rim between 9.0-(9.5)-11.0.
Have anyone been able to put the 275 x 35- 18 on an 8.5" rim with leaking or fittiing problems?

I have 275/40R18's on 9.5" rims and they look good. Stock tire/wheel combo off a '98 vette.
I know 4th gens have 275/40R17's on 17x9's. Its hard to say about mounting issues though because the 8.5" rim is narrower, and the 35 profile is less forgiving.

Stick with the right size tires for the rims; or get rims that will fit the tires you want to use.
If you take a narrow wheel and put a wide tire on it, the sidewalls don't stand up straight like they're supposed to, and the tread gets bent all out of shape. It's a guaranteed way to reduce the tire's performance and lifetime.
Whether it "fits" or not, or holds air or not, or "looks" "good" or not in whoever's opinion, it's a bad idea.
I'm always amused by people who put 2 things together that don't fit, and say it "looks good". How can that be?
275mm section-width tires belong on 9½" wheels. 8½" wheels need about 255mm tires. Regardless of some 8-year-old's idea of what "looks" "good".
Seems kind of stupid to spend over a thousand dollars on a bunch of stuff that just self-destructs. Call me old-fashioned, but I don't think visibly self-destructing running gear on a car "looks good"; especially not when it's my own money I'm watching go up in smoke.
