Check on the Organized Racing forum for a clarification on that T-top/6-point thing.

(You don't need it until 11.49, actually.)

You need a roll bar 11.49 to 11.00, and a cage from 10.99 onward. At least, thats how I read it.

I'd put a bar in my car if I could make the side posts removeable. I'm not getting in and out of my car with side bars if I want to say, take it to work. Thats just dumb.

I don't see why the swing outs would be illegal. I know several people that have them...Ed Wright being one of them.

Swingout bars are legal even if you have a cage.

spohns website says that they meet NHRA specs

You also have the option of choosing a swing out side bar kit. This hinges the side bar to allow easy entrance and exit from the vehicle. They are priced per side, and they meet NHRA specifications.

You don't need a full cage until 9.99 or faster

The last time I looked at the NHRA Rule book it says that the swing out bars are good till 7.50. After that, you'll need them to be soild.

Be careful that you get side bar swing-out hardware that is NHRA/IHRA approved - some of it is not.
