tire size help

Car: 89 Camaro/ 02 GC Overland
Engine: 355 V8/ 4.7 HO V8
Transmission: T5/ 545RE
Axle/Gears: 10 Bolt 3.73/ Dana 30, Dana 44 3.73
tire size help
i wanna kno if any companies make a 275/50/16 or 275/55/16 tire. i wanna put em on mu 16x8 irocs on the back but i can only find 255. i want bigger. even a 265 would make me happy. side wall no bigger than 55 tho. any help whould be great

First off, when you say you don't want a sidewall bigger then 55, the sidewall is determined by a ratio in comparison to the width. 275x.55 is different then 265x.55

It would not be the best, but my dad talked to year one, and he is running 295s on an 8 inch wheel. Year one said they would fit, and he has not had a problem since.

thanx for all the info guys. i thought the sidewall was a ratio of the width but i wasnt sure. i think ill just stick with a 155 for the rears. id like to upgrade to 17x9 but i still want the iroc look and the 17s only come in x8

BF Goodwrench Radial TAs 295/50/16 on an 8 inch wheel is what my dad uses on the back of his 71 Formula. A guy at work had the same setup on a monte carlo.
