My before/after drop measurements for Eibach ProKit vs stock springs
I just replaced my stock springs (1986) with new Eibach Prokits. I also installed KYB shocks and struts, and new strut mounts.
I have an '86 305 V8 SC.
Here are the measurements in inches (ground to top of wheel wells) before and after:
1986 stock springs (before):
Left Front: 27
Left Rear: 27 1/4
Right Rear:27
Right Frnt: 26 1/2
New Eibach ProKits (after):
Left Front: 26 3/4
Left Rear: 27 3/4
Right Rear:27 1/2
Right Frnt: 26 1/4
So overall, I had a 1/4 inch drop on the front, and actually had a 1/2 rise in the rear.
I've just driven a few miles, but it definitely feels a lot better. With the old setup, I could feel every pebble, now at least it's not as bone jarring.

I just installed the pro-kit to. It lowered my front end drastically. But for whatever reason even with my stock springs my front end sat very high. Stock springs and 3 year old KYB gr2 struts and it sat higher than I have ever seen a thirdgen. The prokit didn't lower my rear much but the car looks much better. Rear is ever so slightly higher...but my front used to be much higher than my rear.
I didn't get KYB stuff again. I haven't had good luck with them. So I just got the monroe synsa tracs from work. I got the springs from work for 210$ tax and all
Car handles so much better now. And it doesn't shake on the interstate like it used to. Thanks to the front end rebuild.
