Step, I will assume for certain that when you put the new rims on the car that they were a larger diameter rim (ie-17" or 18", not stock 15" or 16") and they were wider also.

The byproduct of doing so is the wider low profile tires will ride much rougher than the factory taller sidewalls intended for these suspension designs. You will in fact feel any road imperfection much harsher with those new rims and tires, combined with the older suspension probably having worn bushings will dramatise the effect even worse.

It is very unlikely that the wheel spacers are causing this.

you still might want to check that all is tight under there cause you dont want your wheel falling off on you.

where did you get the wheel adapters from? The only ones I have heard of failing were a pair that someone was using that were homemade. When he was asked specifics about the failure he did not respond. If they are hubcentric you should have no problems.

The adapters are from Motorsport Technologies. These are custom fit hub centric adapters. I had no problems with the car shaking till I mounted the Corvette rims...so I recently switched back to my rally wheels, and problem solved. The adapters don't fit snug on the hub, could it be that I need rings on them, or is the geometry corrupted on my car.

..All suspension has been checked and torqued down to spec.

Thanks...

shaking when driving normal? or when you hit bumps and stuff?

i had 2" spacers all around on my car with Zr1's, i didnt get shaking. bigger wheels and smaller tires do make your ride quality suck a bit, but thats expected.

the car shakes at 50+ mph only when you hit a small bump... normal driving does not shake.
