DJP87Z28 You should of thougth of the cost of tires before buying 18" wheels. You can start saving rubberbands. Aso whats more important then tires???

If you know anyone who is in the military, they can go to the nearest PX on post or to www.aafes.com and buy them. I got my Kumho 255/50/16 for $81 a piece

you could try the Federal brand of tire. I have a set they were cheap 245/40/18 cost me C$195 so about $150 US. They seem good and gummy and I have 5000K on mine and hardly any wear.

ok SO I did some RESEARCH
I was just recently on tirerack.com checking out the cheapest tire i could get for my preference... this is what i came up with

For the Fronts 275/35/18
BFGoodrich g-force T/a Drag radial (competition) 191$ each
__________________________________________________
For the Rears 295/35/18
BFGoodrich g-force T/a Drag radial (competition) 210$ each

Total-802$
Total with shipping-849.67$
Tires look like they'll be nice and sticky for all that horse power my 2.8 v6 is putting out hahah....
But seriously what do yas think?
then comes my spacers... like 300-400 gees....

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...... Not spacers. your going to have to get new studs to make them long enought to get the lug nuts on. And spacers put way more stress on your hubs and axles as well as your studs. The only thing you got going for you is that light v6 and lower HP. You probably wont spin those wheels very much and the weight off the front will lessen the strain on the studs there but the back....
P.S. as you can see Im not a fan of spacers.

Put a 4th gen rear on. Won't need spacers taht way, and if you get them from an LS1 car, you'll have 12" rear brakes
I almost bought a set of '98 Vette rims (the 5-spoke, not 10-spoke), polished, 17x8 front and 18x10 rear? Or something like that...whatever stock was for thsoe years. Could've gotten the rims for $300 shipped. *ALMOST* did it, but decided I couldn't afford $800+ in tires. By the way, I'd recommend the Kumho MX series of tire, very cheap for the performance. I have the Supra 712s and love them, but my cousin has the MXs and says they are amazing.
I got my P245/50ZR16 tires for $93 each, but that included tax, tire disposal fees, mounting/balancing fees, and all of that, so I don't think that military discount is even worth looking into as it may limit your choices...

yeah thats exactley what i plan to do, so when i drop in the 383 i wont have to worry about the hp twisting anything with the spacers in the back.. but i still need them in the front no biggie tho. i rolled my fender lips already and my cars going out for paint tommorow night to the shop : ). but you have 16's? thats why their only 93$...
can you find a better deal then this.. i dont really want to put a drag radial on the front cause i thought about it

Anyways, I don't think I could help ya find cheaper tires. I was looking at 255/40ZR17 up front and 275/35ZR18 in the back. The back tires were like $250ish a piece and the fronts were $230ish. They were Kumho MXs. I should've bought the rims and turned around and sold them...I almost did..

Umm... I always thought the drag radials have a softer sidewall and shouldn't be used as front tires!
You can always sell the rims and get a set that uses cheaper rubber?

You know what helps in situations like these....credit...lol.
I wouldn't get drag radials for the back yet. First off you don't need them and by the time you do they will probably be worn out. They don't last very long at all.
