Oh no,,Crack in K member
I pulled my kmember and was cleaning all the goo and rust off of it and discovered a small crack on it (pic attached) is this ok?? Can I just spot weld it?
How do I know if it is bent?
Also when re-installing it how do I know if it is aligned (what measurements do I take) properly before tightening bolts?

theres no aligning, when you put it up, the pins fit in the holes, and you tighten it down.
its hard to tell anythign from that pic, it doesnt look like much though.

It looks like more of a seam to me. Even if it isn't a crack I'm sure you will feel much better if you get someone to weld it up for you. I wouldn't do a spot weld, just a simple bead a few inches long. Where on the crossmember is it located?
