struts or LCA's?
ok a while back i posted about my mad wheelhop at the track. well i have come to the conclusion im gonna replace my suspension on the car, struts, lca's and springs. but i want to cure that wheel hop first, so what would most likely be the cuplrit, the struts gone bad or LCA's?

Wheel hop is cause by the inability of your shocks to control your springs from the bouncing effect put on it by the tires. This is a dampening issue and lower control arms, relocation brackets, and shocks will go a long way and will cure the problem.

i like my kenny browns....they've been out alot longer and are cheaper as well as they are chromoly too.
if i were you since your on a budget i'd go with what will offer the most gain. shocks/struts/springs effect everyday use. lca's can wait. just box your stock ones if your on a budget.

im not really on a budget, just only limit myself to one thing a month.
i think i will purchase some struts first. i found some 3 way adjustables for 40 bucks each. next month ill get the LCA's

the rear's are shocks, the fronts are struts.
i changed my shocks first when i had wheelhop, it didnt really go away as far as i could tell. but on my first car i had a bad tranny mount also. so having massive wheel hop and a bad tranny mount it makes the car seem likes it falling apart.
so on my next car after i fixed the tranny mount, i did lower control arms first and "wheel hop" mostly went away.
so either way u go ur helping performance.
lower control arms are easier to put in unless the bolts are rusted on good.

ooh u mentioned tranny mount?
it just so happens that a few days before the racetrack where i discovered wheel hop was horrible, is when i installed my energy suspension tranny mount.
*** it sucks, my old stock replacement one wore out within only 3 months, but even with it ripped, i didnt get wheel hop at the track. maybe this peice of crap aftermarket one causes the problem?
opinions?

I like my Spohns. 4130 Cromo w/poly bushings. I could immediately feel the difference launching, stopping, and in the corners.

The ripped tranny mount was giving you less wheel hop cause your power was compromised at the tranny. With the poly trans mount, you're putting the power where it's supposed to go... to the wheels. Now you need to upgrade the LCAs, shocks and springs to get even more of the power to the ground.
Basically, the trans mount didn't cause you a problem, it just made an existing problem apparent: weak rear suspension.
