Those with Zr1 wheels come in.

I am thinking about putting some Zr1 wheels from a camaro on my 86 camaro, what all would I need? Just spacers, what size? And where can I get them?
Thanks in advance

I would get the Zr1 wheels from SLP that are made for 3rd gens. I just order some in hyper black.

You need 2" adapters at all 4 wheels.

You can get them at www.skulte.com

Do a search...

Like mentioned above SLP sells 17x8 zr1 wheels that are fitted for 3rd gens. You probably save money buying those because you wont need spacers.

Stay away from SLPs 17x8. The GM or AFS 17x9 can be had with spacers for the same price SLP is asking. I bought my genuine GM wheels with nearly new tires for only $600 shipped to my door. Add another $280 for the spacers and SLP can't beat it. Not to mention they are 1" narrower. If you don't want to deal with the spacers, wait a little while. SLP might be coming out with a 17x9 that's a direct fit for these cars.

The spacer size DEPENDS on What ZR1 wheels you get...

REAL ZR1 rims with ZR1 backspacing require thicker Spacers than Camaro SS ZR1 style rims... or AFS rims for 4th gen or earlier corvette..Some brands are 17X 8 or 17X9 and others are 17X 9.5" which WILL make a difference in what spacer you will need...Actual ZR1 rears are 17X11"

I have AFS Early year vette/ss camaro offset...mine use like a 1.75" spacer up front and like a 1.25" rear... this is on a 17X9.5" rim..Cant remember the exact backspace

Ive seen my rims with 2" up front at the rim sits TOO far outward compared to the REAR...
