Are rear disc brakes from a 92Z same as from a 96Z?
I could have sworn that the parts were the same (rotors, calipers, carriers, pads, etc) and the only difference were the ebrake cables....but after searching at Autozone....they have different part numbers for the rotors and calipers for each car...but the pads are the same. Are these parts interchangable? I have a rear from a 92Z with disc brakes right now....and I need to redo the brakes.....but Im about to put in a rear from a 96Z, so I dont know if I should get brakes for one year or the other....dont want to buy two sets of brakes if I dont have to......any ideas?

Yes. Other than a SLIGHT difference in the e-brake bracket they are identical. They use the same pads, rotors, (yes) e-brake cables, seals, and other parts. There are different part numbers for these parts but that's just for the differences in year models.
