Alignment after wreck
I picked up an 1994 Z28 that has been rolled. The car is not too bad and I need to get it road worthy to drive it from MD to CO. One main problem is the front tire are toed out. I was able to adjust tie rods to get toe close enough to drive to alignment shop. My question is, what could have made the alignment so bad. I can't find anything bent or otherwise damaged. I wonder if the something went wrong in the rack. Has anyone heard of a problem like this? Any long term effects? Thanks for any help.

I slapped a tire wall at a race track earlier this summer in my car. The RF tire was toed out badly afterwards and I also could not find anything broken or bent. I used the tie rods to aloign the tires but the steering wheel was off center. I pulled the steering wheel off, turned it a spline and reinstalled it.
Over the winter I plan to replace the steering box. I have seen posts from some other guys with the same problem after a wreck. To me, if you cannot find bent parts, the steering box has to be the part that is damaged.
