Brembo F-40 brakes

I have been doing some research on the 92 firehawk and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to install Brembo F-40 ferrari brakes onto a regular 3rd gen. They have great stopping power and I think it would make an excelent addition to any 3rd gen. I would like to find some and get them installed on my car. Any help here would be appreciated.

I doubt many if any have done it considering all of the other lower cost aftermarket alternatives out there. Also keep in mind they were installed on 1LE spindles...

Yes they stop great but the brake dust is a bitch

1LE spindles are nothing more than modified stock spindles.

As far as dust is concerend, it depends entirely on what pad compound you have. My race pads squeel like a son of a gun, and the dust is horrible. But my street pads don't dust at all, and no squeel form them.

i dont think the 1LE setup has a dust shield.... athough ive only seen ones where people converted on, so they could have just left it out.

Spindles modded to 1LE specs do not have a dust sheild. You drill and tap the dust sheild holes to mount the caliper bracket.

"I have been doing some research on the 92 firehawk and I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to install Brembo F-40 ferrari brakes onto a regular 3rd gen. To make it short for you: has someone put a brembo on a 3rdgen!

92GTA answer:
I doubt many if any have done it >i dont know someone but i like to post>

considering all of the other lower cost aftermarket alternatives out there>low cost? hahahah 1LE? PLSSSSSSSSSS!
Check the baer website for prices!
Thunder racing wants 2895$ for the (Pro+) Alcon 4 Piston, 13.50" x 1.25" Rotors and 3795 $ for the (Extreme+) Alcon 6 Piston, 13.50" x 1.25" Rotors setup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These are the only two versions to be compared to the brembo!>

Also keep in mind they were installed on 1LE spindles...>somebody else whos working on the topic and not talking ,already took care of this !>

Great job there ALLOY!!!!!!!!!!

To answer the Q (did somebody say something ? )

Yes I put Brembo brakes from a 911 TT porsche on my camaro. They use a larger pad and a thicker rotor than the F-40. So it has been done.
