Brakes EMERGENCY

K, my right side is braking way, way harder than my left on my 92 z-28... I hit the brakes and in the power of it just being in drive, the steering wheel turns 90 degrees... it's totally undrivable. I replaced the front pads and rotors about 2,000 miles ago and everything was alright until about 3 days ago when this problem suddenly appeared. So last night i replaced both calipers.. still nothing.. it seems to have gotten worse. Is the proportioning vavle bad? it feels like it's giving the right side 80 percent and the left 20... But i have no idea if thats it.. and i dont really wanna spend the 100 dollars if i dont have to.. already replaced 2 good calipers. Thanks for the help!!!

EDIT:

Check your brake hoses, a bad hose will cause this problem.

Yeah, those hoes can make your brakes go wild
For real though, i had that same problem on my car. A new brake hose and a good bleeding fixed it right up for me

Your problems sound like Brake Hoses (old age for the stock rubber hoses) replace with Stainless Steel Braided lines and they will do wonders for curing your braking problem.

I replaced the hoses... now we're up to new calipers, pads, rotors, and hoses with ZERO improvment... any other suggestions?... I'm really trying to avoid taking it to an hourly mechanic...

I'm thinking that it might be some worn out parts like ball joints or tie rods. They are pretty easy to check, but I wouldn't hold my breath. It wouldn't be the combo valve since that is just a splitter when it comes to the front brakes.

Check the proportioning valve. A piece of debris could have gotten sucked into it and might be clogging a line.

Sounds like a clog in the line, pull the brake line on the side not working at the prop valve and calaper, Let the brake fluid flow out of the line. Blow some air through it(compressior air), Spray some brake cleaner in, and run some air angain. Put back togeter, runn about 1qt of brake fluid through the side bleading it. This should get the brakes working right, if its a hydrallic problem, but like said before check the ball joints tie rod ends and idler arm for play, if one of these is worn out, it will jerk the steering wheel under braking. Shot A-arm bushings will do it also, but they have to be real bad.
