275 40 17's on a 8.5" wheel?
I want some drag radials to cut down on wheel spin. I have read that the 275 40 17 BFG Drag radials will fit on a 8.5" wide wheel.
I would prefer the NITTO 555R's but I've read that you need a 9" wide wheel to run them.
Has anyone run either of these tires in the 275 40 17 size on a 17" x 8.5" wheel?
Is there any reason why the NITTOs won't fit?

My friend is running 315/35/17 Nitto DR's on his 9" Rim.
They got it to fit on his wheel, I don't see why they won't be able to get 275 to fit on yours.

That's cool. I think they should fit. I just wonder if anyone has run them on a 8.5" wheel.
