tie rod woes?

ok this is kinda weird...I had my shocks and struts changed to improve the ride quality a bit because they were blown...just recently i've been hearing this kind of rattling coming from the right front tire as im driving (going over bumps of course) i was kinda interested as to what could be causing this rattling, and sure enough i got under the car and i grabbed the middle connector (the piece the inner and outter tie rods screw into) and i twisted it to see if there was any movement. Both the inner and outter tie rods moved at the boots!? im not the smartest car person around but my guess is they're worn and need to be replaced? yes, no? please gimme some feedback

it get a bit confusing, movement there is normal. what you don't want is movement between the stud and the part of the tie rod where it fits, other than rocking. no in and out movement of the stud is acceptable.

the tie rod setup on the other side is stiff and there is no movement though...i should have mentioned that before...it moves a lot on the right front...where the boots are...kinda almost feels like u can rip the joints out...its really loose

its confusing, but they dont move where u screw them in, they move on the outter parts where they connect to the steering knuckle and the other component
