4th gen brakes for a Moser 12 bolt
I'm real close to ordering the moser but have questions regarding the brakes. I have drums on my 89. Moser said 4th gen brakes are a bolt-on. I would put drums back on if it would be that easy. Has anyone gone this route?

well they said 4th gen brakes bolt on. go with ls1 brakes. i plan on installing those on my stock 10 bolt on my 91 z. but later when i get a moser 12, they will swap over. you can find the set used for like 200 - 300 or you can buy everything new for around 550. the ls1 brakes are comparable to the oe 91-92 z28 rear discs.

I was hoping to just install drums to keep the install a bolt on. LS1's must all be discs? If I swap to discs obviously the price goes up along with down time. Discs would be a nice upgrade later, but now I would rather just use drums. Does anyone know if the 4th gen drums are a bolt on?

I got a set of ls1 rear brakes for 50 bucks from a swap meet. They are way better than any other 3rd gen rears because they have the drum style e brake in the rotor hat. Unfortunately i have a 9bolt and have not managed to swap them over yet. I am planning a moser 12 bolt in the future and am saving them for that day.
