I never heard anything but good about any of the Firehawk tires - new or old.
The stats at tirerack.com show that even at the lower price (compared to a Pirelli or Pilot), they give up no performance whatsoever and wear and ride a lot better. They are something like $140 each in 245-5-16 size, a little more than budget, but much less than the $ tires ($225-$275 each).
I saw spend the few extra $ and get the Firehawks.

The firehawk has been rated superior for performance and wear. By customers and factory tests. If given the choice I would pick firestone firehawk hands down.
I had a set of falkens and was not impressed with them. I wanted to get a set of hawks, but the only place that had reasonable prices was tirerack.
I ended up with dunlop SP sport 5000s because sears had a great deal and I did not want to deal with mounting, etc. I found the dunlops to out perform the falkens in all aspects especially road noise.
Good luck in your choice.

I had some firehawks similar to that on my old stock 15x7's and they were GREAT for their small size. I was really pleased with them overall.

Thanks for the input. I think I will go with the firehawks. It seemed that the falken website was more info on how they looked than how they worked. Anywho I guess I will be going with the firehawks.

I have owned Firehawks For a few years (2 sets) and until someone makes a better tire in a 16" for the street, I plan to buy a third set. You will not believe their wet traction- drive on them in the wet like you would other tires in the dry! Quiet ride and great wear also.
