Walk into a bank, open a checking account and get a debit card, like I did. At least the CC problem will be solved.

I was thinking of getting the Eibach Pro-Kit. My car rides rough and low, so my springs are probably sagging. If my car stays the same height after I am done, I will be happy.

If you have the part number you can go to any gm dealership and buy it. Your only other real option as far as geting the actual gm spring is gmpartsdirect.com. I have found that most of the stuff on gm parts direct costs less than it does at the dealerships. On most parts it is cheaper even with their high shipping prices than what the dealerships want. You can get a debit card that just pulls from your checking account instead of using credit.

I checked Moogs site for springs for a 98 Firebird, trying to get a part #. They don't list a part number for this car. Most other sites I checked didn't list a rear spring for a 98 Firebird. GM may be the only outlet you can get this.

Yes, they should fit, but if they are for a 94 firebird(especially if not for T/A) then they are liable to be softer and not as performance oriented.

That is the same springs I got for the rear of my Berlinetta. I think that is the only spring for the rear.

Well, if you are wanting to go for a good ride instead of performance you may want to choose different front springs. If you go for the 92 z28 they will be pretty firm. You will want something more like RS springs or something.

as of right now you are fine with either 5.0 or 5.7 but for you with your 305 i would go with 5.0 z28....you wont have a problem with springs untill you decide to start being serious about the track and pull that 305 out. then you will need to buy special drag springs to stop your tubbed wheels(once your pretty serious of course) from going through your wheel well...ask revlimit about that

anywho for now the 305 z28 springs should be fine... if you want a deal i could sell you my old springs, they were fine i just wanted new springs when i do all my suspension crap.

Actually I dont think that there is going to be a difference between the 5.0 and 5.7 springs as long as they are both for the same type of car. The 2 motors dont really weigh any different since they are both small blocks. Good springs for handling are not going to be the best for drag racing, but if it were me I would get the stronger stock replacement springs like off of the 92 z28 or something like that and if you end up with major traction problems(probably no worse than you have now) you could do some traction mods down the road.

i wouldnt rest too much solely on that logic.....

the engines are pretty different in weight, bo i think one may raise it a little more but i could be way off...

my eibach sportlines ride better then stock, it sits low for sure, but the pro kit is supposed to ride nice to, its a 1" drop, with worn springs u wont even notice. plus the handling is through the roof.

everything sounds good except for shocks and struts...if i were you id go with KYB Gas-A-Just shocks and GR Struts... dont go with regular if you are going through all this trouble while you are down there may as well replace with some good shocks and struts, now everyone can go and tell me KYB sucks and to just go with monroe or something....~*Hamspiced ducks and covers*~

I've been lurking for a while and it's time to speak up.

as of right now you are fine with either 5.0 or 5.7 but for you with your 305 i would go with 5.0 z28
IT WON"T MATTER!!! They're BOTH SBCs so they will weigh the SAME or have a negligable weight difference unless you install aluminum heads or something....no difference.

(Some guy told me once that he couldn't fit a 350 in his S-10 'cause it was too big and wouldn't fit...so he went with a 305 instead....RIiiiggghhhttt...)

My '91 RS (F41 susp. pkg) and my '88 Iroc had the SAME springs stock (BZW/NNL). The SAME springs. These springs would have been a great choice. Both cars rode stiff but not too harsh. I have since changed springs in the Iroc. Personally I think your car (Ham) will
sit a bit higher in the rear since the 4th gens are a bit lighter back there. What's the advertised spring rate on the springs you got?
