yea its possible to box a torque arm. Not the parts of course that go into the bushing and bolt to the rear end. But the part between the two sections can be boxed off.

i had my bro box the stock torque arm on my car and used it for 2 years.it'll make it heavy tho. he went to extremes , i would think steel welded from top to bottom would help it. i live in illinois or i would give you mine.

Cool idea, Poncho! Did you notice any difference with those braces?

And as a side note.. how'd you protect the welds from rust? Did you use a weld-thru primer? I've got a MIG and want to hit my lower control arms and panhard rod, but am worried about having rust form "inside", and wind up with a control arm snapping in half from rusting out.

I just got these done, so I haven't installed them yet. Next I am removing the bushings and getting everything sandblasted. I then will paint/dip them in POR-15 to protect them from rust. My car doesn't see winter and barely sees rain so I am to worried...if you are though you can always spray in there with a rust protector like the stuff the use on cars at rust proofing centers.

I do expect to see a differnce, I was getting alot of wheel hop last year at the track.

Now all I need is to get some LCA relocation brackets and get everything installed....but I guess I need to get my car out of storage for that!!!
