Mid engine third gen?
Wasn't sure what to put this under so I just put it here because it has something to do with the chassis. My question is this; what would it take to turn as third gen into a mid engine driver: as in, engine behind the seats and a fabricated fire wall behind the seats as well. Just a new idea...any thoughts or anything along those lines, please reply.

Completely custom top to bottom. Probably have the best bet using an old Pantera setup seeing how it was about the same size as an F-bod. Probably looking at $50k-$100k depending on who does it and how good it is.

It would take mucho dinero and some american dollars as well. I can't even imagine what kind of trans/rear set-up you would go with. On the other hand how about putting a FWD Caddy V8 back there. While I'm at it I'd throw the same thing under the hood in the front, to ballance things out, sort of. 2 Northstars at 300hp each, 4 wheel drive, 4 wheel steering, 2 ignition keys. It would certainly be a conversation piece. LOL

from a balance standpoint a i think the c5 rear mounted trans would be a kewl custom swap, and that would probably be more doable. with the tranny moved back there i bet it would be close to a 50/50 in a 3rdgen.
