Rear end loose, sways side to side

I am pretty sure that something is wrong in the rear end of my car, when I push on the rear quarter pannel the rear moves to the side, I thought it was supposed to stay put? Anyway, it looks to me like the trackbar? brace is bent, is it supposed to be? If it is, what could be causing hte car to shift side to side the way it does? I atacked a pic of the rear end.

Now the Repair book calls the bottom(the one that is still straight) bar the Track Bar. which is what I understand to be the Panhard bar. The top bar, the one that is bent, is called the track bar brace...which is called the panhard rod? Anyway, is this what is causing my side to side motion problems?

The bar on the right is the Panhard Bar. That needs to be replaced. And the bar on the left is I guess what they call the track bar like you said.

u sure about that?...in the pic I atached it shows the bottom bar as the panhard par, and the upper one is the same as my bent bar. The lower bar in that pic is the left bar in my pic.

that clears things up...the bottom bar on that pic above is the Panhard Bar. and the upper bar is whatever the chilton manual calls it

yeah thats what i was thinkin I went back out to the car, and took it off the jackstands and put it on ramps and had my bro push from the pass side so I could see what was goin on without worrying about the car fallin off the jacks on me, and all the movement is in the bushing for the panhard bar, so it looks like a bushing is all i need...unless the mount on the bar is messed up too....I wonder if any parts stores are open Christmas Eve....

The panhard on your car looks fine as far as straightness, but if the bushings are shot, it might be time to just get a nicer aftermarket one anyways..... Aftermarket bars will have much more durable bushing in them and will firm up the ride and last longer.... The track bar, like you guys have stated, is supposed to be bent like that to allow for the exhaust to be routed where it is and it looks fine on your car as well...
