sandblasting frame???
does anyone here do a lot of bodywork or know a lot about it. I am supposed to be getting my sandblasting gun this week hopefully. What type of sand or beads should I buy/use if I am blasting frames and body panels(I know regular sandblasting can warp the body panels because of the heat, but are there any alternatives)? Also should I use rust-metal prep liquid before blasting the frame? I am beginning a few restorations very soon. Any tips? Any help would be greatly valued.

Well the rust-metal prep stuff should be used after you sandblast but before you paint. If you do it before you blast then you'll just end up blasting it all away. If I were you I would drop by any restoration shops in the area and speak with them. I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you a few pointers.
