I just had those same ones installed in mine and they are alright. The shop that did the welding did it for $100 which I thought was ok but he told me that they were the kind that were made to cut a hole in the floor pan and I told him I didn't want to do that. Instead he cut the bracket off the end of each one and welded them in place. They do help, but if I were doing it again I might go with Hotchkis or another brand. If you have a shop that doesn't mind doing a custom job and they understand what you want you might be ok. I think I kind of lucked out. The whole job only cost me about $200. The car is a lot tighter so I am glad I did it. Now I need a couple of LCA's, panhard rod, and maybe a brace for the engine compartment. Has anyone out there tried to work with any of the 1LE stuff lately?

I think the shop I took it to just cut the ends off with a torch and then welded them. Just checkout Jegs or click on Spohn I think they have some. They are all more expense but might work better and without the custom fit problem. Just have to decide how long you want to keep the car. If I had it to do over again I would get the Hotchkis or Spohn. They are more expense but will fit and work better.

I fyou bought the CE's and cut off the plates, you have just successfully paid $90 for two 5' pieces of 2x2 box tubing...I had the CE's. They work good, but I wanted more. - If I were to buy some, I would either get the Sphon's or the Alston's. I built mine. But then again, I can weld, and I have all the equippment.(cut-off saws, welder, torch, etc...)
