springs... plz help.....

k so i installed new rear springs n shocks a week ago, now i noticed that the car sits about 1 inch lower on the right, its not noticable by looking at it but if you measure the gap above the tires its an inch lower, normally this wouldnt bother me but i have 275/60's on 15x10 inch rims and they stick out, everytime i hit a real hard bump the lip of the wheel well digs into the sidewall of the tire so i need to know how to fix this.. i installed both springs the same way..what could i have done wrong?

I guess that one of the springs isn't properly seated in the upper spring bucket, your isolator is off a bit regarding how it sits on the spring, or you don't have the springs sitting completely down on the rearend.

HTH..

thanks ed! quick question.. if the spring isnt properly seated in the upper perch could that cause that side to be lower or would it cause that side to be higher? how about if the isolator wasnt on the spring right?

In both cases higher. Also, be sure to check both springs. You should be able to lay down and look up there when you jack the rear up. It should be obvious as to which spring isn't sitting right. Make sure the isolator stays on the spring when you install it, tape it to the spring with some balck electrical tape or something. Maybe it just slid off to the side as you were putting it up there.

well ****.. that really sucks in that case because that would mean the side thats actually not cutting the sidewalls of the tires is the messed up side cause its higher? so if thats the problem and i fix it back to cutting up both tires?
