Springs and ride height

Hi Guys,

I am swappnig an LS1 in my third gen. The LS1 weigs 100-125 pounds less than my LB9.

I will probably have to get lower springs but I want to stay close to stock height. Are there any springs that will let me lower only 1/2" or 3/4" ?

Can I get custom springs? Would 4th gen springs work?

Thanks
BILL

4th gen springs won't work (for sure at least in front). 4th gens have struts in front with a coil-over springs (springs fit over struts).

However, you can get kits where you can set the ride height and get just about whatever spring rate you want (they normally use Eibach ERS springs, which are available in a huge variety of rates). I know Ground Control has something available, although their customer service sucks ***.

Eibach Pro-Kits are available. They're probably less hassle for installation, but you're stuck with whatever spring rate they come in, and you can't adjust the ride height. From what I've seen surfing online shops, the drop is only around 1".

I'm pretty new to F Body suspension stuff, so others can probably elaborate.
