Check out what this guy found in his PST rebuild kit!
https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=125197
He found a bag with ES bushings, and a "real" part #, and paid $18 more. Check out the message, it really makes me wonder about PST... whether their stuff is polygraphite or not... and whether ES's "black" bushings have polygraphite in them already.

I have the PST front end kit, and I can teell you that they definently had poly in them. Unfortunantly, one of the tie rod ends they sent me DID NOT have any threads!

I installed all Energy Suspension stuff in the front end of Redraif's car, and there are no squeaks whatsoever. Just use plenty of the supplied lube, and either will be fine. I have used both with good results, though I used PST back in 90 or so when rebuilding my Nova SS...don't know if they're the same quality now or not.

I've heard the same thing, LT1, to use a lot of the lube... but I though it interesting that the guy got charged $50 for bushings that he could've bought for $32. If PST plays like that, then I won't bother buying their kit, I'll just buy the bushings for cheaper through Summit!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't graphite conduct electricity? If so, and if there's a high enough concentration of it in the bushings, reason would have it that you could do an ohm check to determine whether it's in there. Obviously a polyurethane bushing should show an infinite impedance, but if I'm right, maybe the graphite jobs will show some sort of high k-ohm impedance. Then again, maybe not.

I kind of tend to think that the supposed benefits of graphite impregnated bushings are anyway.

Hi, I'm the guy that got the bag of ES bushings with a PST sticker on them. If you read the post above you might believe that ES sells the bushings to PST and PST re-disributes them. My question is why do they put the same number on them as the regular poly ones. How would they keep them straight??
Who knows.
