New H.M.S. Strut Mounts Post
Just figured nobody feels like digging through all 3 pages of the other post so I decided to put the main info here.
Benifits:
Entire mount does not have to be replaced, can replace the spherical bearings.
Removes flex originally cause by bushing for strut mount by replacing with spherical bearing.
Available in 3 heights: Standard - Non lowered cars. Medium - Most lowered cars. Long - Good luck getting them to fit, chances are you just need the medium.
Medium height version will bring back suspension travel lost by lowering car.
Hey they look great.
Pricing:
Standard - Red Annodized - $300 USD Plus shipping ( $20-$30 )
and Customs fees ($30)
Optional Colors are available for an additional $13 USD
Bare aluminum is available - Deduct $13 USD
Email HunterMotorsports@Hotmail.com
To get in on a set of these.

Thanks for posting the "condensed" version here - it will help to have a quick page to look at for those who are a bit curious.
For those who want to know more - look here: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=57085
That is the complete thread with about 200 posts and all your questions should be answered in there - or you can e-mail me.

price
I would buy these but I find the price to be a LITTTLE bit high for the utility they would get.
for a set of these, I am just guessing here but from guys in my car club seems we are willing to pay about $200 US for these.

i don't think it is all that high (of course we all want things cheap). but ground-control sells their upper strut mount for 225 USD, and it REUSES alot of the stamped steel peices in the factory mount.

Yeah, they're just falling off trees! LOL!
I think it is pretty awesome to know I will be 1 of 20 people in the world who will have these trick pieces on their 3rd gen.
Thank you, Karl!

Hey - sorry to burst your bubble guys - but there are already 5 sets out there - guess that means that you will all have one of 25 hehe like it makes a difference.
When I originally designed these (a few years ago) I did it because all the ones I had seen out there (Ground-Control or J&M) just werent what I was looking for - so I decided to make someting that did everything I wanted, that nobody else had made yet. If I had found an all aluminum strut mount with a spherical bearing - then I probably would have bought them. I could'nt find anything quite like it - so I decided to make them. 5 sets were made in the first production run - including the prototypes which are still on my car.
These are of course still incredibly rare - even with a total of 25 sets out there. And of course - its not just another one of those aluminum strut mounts that everyone has seen.
Everyone who gets in on this run should feel pretty lucky. I gaurantee if I do another production run in the future - they will NOT be this cheap. I am not really making much on this run - certainly not as much as I had originally wanted to. I am not at all bitter - it is a good feeling to know that you are making something special that no one else has.
So to give a bit of an update here - I have received a total of 15 deposits so far (a couple are "on the way") and some units should be ready to go within a couple of weeks. Those of you who ordered the "bare" version will be getting e-mails fairly soon requesting payment of the balance. Not too long now.
At this point - the remaining units will be solt to whoever gets me the money the soonest. Those who were on the original list and who have sent their deposits need not worry. I can only think of one person in that situation right now. The rest of you - well its first come - first lucky bugger to take these puppies off my hands!
All remaining units will be medium height version - red anodized - no options.
those who are interested can e-mail me - and I will get back to you in short order.

Those are pretty sweet! I just don't have $$$ for that sort of thing right now though..... But I am sort of wondering why you didn't throw in a way to adjust caster as well as the standerd camber slots..... Just an idea, no flame .

Some units may be ready in as early as a week - depending on the options chosen. For example: a medium height version with NO anodizing - that is easier and will be ready sooner than a custom colour anodized version.
Anyway - just wanted to let everyone know that it is proceeding - but just a bit slowly. Sorry for the delay - and I appreciate all your paitence.
To answer a couple of other questions here - the only units left are medium height version - and we can still accomodate for your choice of anodizing - or bare - or custom colour.

Everybody relax - no worries - I WILL get back to you. Things are very busy for me right now. I have all your e-mails in order - and I will be answering them in order. Sorry for the wait - I know you are all anxious - but I gotta take care of the business at hand. Remember - I gotta make these things before you can all have them - so gimme a chance. As soon as they are done I will have more time. I have not forgotten about you all.

i hope you aren't upset at me for posting this karl.

just so the rest of you have a bit of a timeline and understand what is going on , i am posting karls response via e-mail.

My best guess at this point is 2 to 3 weeks when everything will be done. Until I have taken care of all the people who are on the list and have paid - I will not be selling the other ones. I just want to take care of those who have already sent money first. After that - those who have e-mailed me and expressed their desire to purchase will have their opportunity to commit and send money.

yes, but he is also very busy right now i asume...
i had a genuine question and i NEEDED to know, becuase i can't just not pay the ticket, and he responded quickly, i was also not asking for a specific date, i don't think he knows the date , and he is making the smart move by not telling us a date, and then not making that date.
i am just hopeing that the info i posted will help ease some peoples minds and let them know that karl is working on this, and that eventualy we will be getting all the info we need, and the parts we want.

I hope we are getting close. This saturday will be 10 weeks since I PayPaled my deposit in. This is starting to look like a government contract, 6 week contract turns into 6 months. I'm self employed and for 17 years I have always completed my jobs in the time frame I have originally stated. If it will take you 2-3 months, no big deal, just don't mislead us from the start that it will be 6 weeks give or take a week. It gets people pissed.

I think a lot of us are waiting on them, and you do need to chill out, sometimes things take longer than expected, materials take longer to be delivered or are out of stock, or maybe someone has a lot of annodizing to do and they mounts are waiting for that, just the same with spohn taking longer than he initially expected to have the new SFC's ready, parts take time, especially custom units like these, my car is not getting new front struts, which it needs badly, until i get my set, all of us have to wait, not just you, take a chill pill or something.....
