Hunter, unlike Spohn, Has my money and has promised 6 weeks give or take a week. That came and went.
I take deposits on jobs I contract on a monthly bassis- I ALWAYS keep to my deadlines, It is bad businees practice not to. If you can't understand that then I don't know what to tell you?
I simply stated in the first reaction that hunter should have told us from the beginning a more relisistic time frame that he could keep to. If it was to maybe take 2-3 months then just say so up front before you take anyones money.

My appologies to all who are getting antsy because we are a bit behind schedule.
My appreciation to all those who are "still waiting paitently" - you will not be disappointed.
Tomorrow I will be posting again. The news will please all of you I am sure.

i personally see both sides of this, but i'd rather wait a few more weeks for a quality product than have hunter rush them and skimp on the quality. i'm hoping that the mounts look as well as the boxed motercycle frames on the new rockets.as i am going to polish mine to shine like a mirror.
ps my car is also waiting for the new koni yellows on the shelf so i want these as bad as anyone.

Son, you'll learn someday that patience and understand don't cut it in the business world. People rely on schedules. When one person backs things up, it most often causes a chain reaction of events fouling up lots of other peoples schedules. I again am simply stating that next time (If there is a next time) that he be more realistic in his schedule and factor in the possibility that things can be delayed because of whatever unexpected events.
Now I have been patient for several weeks after the expected finish date until I posted this inquiry. I would like to get this car back off of jack stands in the middle of my garage floor. This is the reason I sound a little upset. I feel for Hunter if he is under unanticipated stress, however he also needs to understand his clients situations as well. I'm not being unreasonable for questioning his time frame.
Hunter, thank you for the update. I appreciate you checking in.

Ok i've been looking around online, and I believe this was brought up before, but maybe its been looked into more now, Hunter, or anyone else who may have looked into this, whats the likelyhood of these working with the Roadtech coil over setup ?

Good News!
Those who have paid deposits will be getting e-mails this week with instructions for final payment. We still need to make some bushings and insert the bearings - but as you can see - we are VERY close.
Thanks again to everyone who has made this possible, and thanks for your paitence.

Sweet! But I've got one question....are those pink ones the ones that are supposed to be purple.......And if they are, is there any way to get them darker at this point, because that sure does look awfully pink to me. Sorry if I sound like I'm being whiney, but that isnt my idea or purple....
Here's a pic of what I had in mind:

I should read the suspension board more often. This is the first I've seen of these things. They look purdy.
I've got a question though... does the mounting pad that rides on the inner fender take up the same footprint? I just mounted my strut tower brace with it up against the stock pad, so I'd have to make a mess out of my STB to relocate it.

Haven't received final payment instructions either. Doesn't matter. I'd wait a year for these things. I won't be installing them for several more.

Easy guys, some of us have been waiting that year. Besides, AGoodTime is going to have a heart attack here shortly. ;-> I was pretty sure I'd have those babies strapped on for this weekend's stint at California Speedway. So, I too am somewhat disappointed about the extra time it's taking.
It is more rare than it should be to see thirdgens at these open track/club racing events.
Take a look at www.touringcarclub.com to see an example of one of these clubs and look at the 2.88 mile California Speedway road course!

HAL coilover in your pictures.
To answer your question somewhat -
I'm not sure it will work. The
Road Tech coilover top mount includes
a plate for the spring top to push
up against the underside of the strut
tower. This plate also utilizes larger
through-bolts than the stock piece.
The top mount looks almost exactly like
the ones your buying from Hunter except
the Road Tech version is steel. The
Road Tech plate also uses a replaceable
spherical bearing. Here's a pic of an
unpainted version....

well guys - sorry but I've got bad news.
I just got off the phone with the fire department and it seems the shop has burned to the ground and all the mounts are now melted into a pile of aluminum.
JOKING!!! HAHA - had you sweating.
so on thursday I will get all the customs documents and stuff from UPS that I need to have them all go smoothly across the border - and on friday I start shipping!!!!!!!
I am sure when AFrikanGoodTime gets out of the hospital and has recovered from his massive coronary he and all the rest of you will be able to enjoy your long awaited strut mounts.
Thanks again everyone.

As soon as I get all the guys that have been waiting so long (the ones who gave me money a while ago) taken care of - I will see whats left - and those who have e-mailed me expressing interest will be taken care of in order. Who knows - maybe there will even be enough interest to make another production run in the near future - but I make no promisses. We will work it out.
Thanks again guys. Shippinig starts Friday
