SFC are things that every camaro/mustang NEEDS for their car. Even if you dont race or anything you need SFC. It makes your ride way way better. Reducing alot of rattles and twisting. And when you race its way way different. Night and day difference. If you dont really race you dont really NEED the STB but it would be good also to get that. And for the price its not really that much out of your pocket.

i'm lost
hello all ..... i'm slowly working on putting together a 91 bird with a 3.1L so far it's still all stock........
now i took this thing out of a spin yesterday and hit a small bump going only about 40ish and the car felt like it was moving in three directions at once .........
after reading all of this i just called submitt and thay gave me the following
SFC part # ce-3120 @ 239.95
STB part # edl-5227 @ 129.95
Are these really worth the price or should i spend my cash on something else.......
please help

Yup dont matter if your gonna race 24/7, race weekends, or never race at all. These parts are parts that you SHOULD buy for your camaro/trans am. 300something aint that bad for both of htem...though I'd go with different SFC's. Bolt ins are ****ty cause htey slowly make the bolt holes larger caused fromt he stress. Also they dont stiffen up the chassis as well as weld ins. also? weld ins are way WAY! cheaper then bolt ins. By like sometimes 100 bucks! Mines costed like $135 I believe and they work great.

Strut tower braces don't weld on. If they did, you would be forced to remove the engine from the bottom, and jobs such as intake or head swaps would be impossible from the top.
As for where to get them, I plan on waiting for Spohn to start offering his tubular subframe connectors. Don't know when that will be, but I have other stuff that has to be fixed first. You can also look at Kenny Brown, Alston, Competition Engineering, Hotchkis, and others. Edelbrock makes a real nice 3 point strut tower brace.

How much of a difference are SFCs and a STB really going to make when racing the 1/4 mile. I could only see them making the car more stabilized and tighter. It would make a huge difference for going down the track at higher speeds. But are they going to improve the launches and 60ft times at all. Has anyone ever done a couple runs with stock suspension then with SFCs and a STB. What kinda results did u get. Did it improve urs times at all.
I have heard nothing but good things about the SFCs and the STB. I am going to be bolting up both soon.

though I have no times or anything. The SFC greatly improve traction. As for hte STB...I'm not really sure...I would think it would...but I"m not 100% sure about htat one.
