Brakes / Rearend / Subframe Connectors

HELLO EVERYONE!!

Tombo here. I have a few qustions for you all nice gents who enjoy replying and assisting me. I have a 1988 donor formula that I want to put stuff into an 89 base firebird. Someone told me that before i move the motor over, I should get subframe connectors... help please? Also, I currently I believe have a drum brake non posi rear in the base... Will my disk posi from the formula fit into the base firebird? THANKS

TOM

Car: 92 RS - Fully Restored w/Custom Int
Engine: LO3 with some mods
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Richmond
Since SFC's are supposed to be fitted with the car in its natural rest position on level ground....and pulling the engine changes that rest position.....I suggest you put the motor in first.

Car: 87 T/A
Engine: TPI 350 ci
Transmission: 5 speed
Agreed. Put in the heavier engine then do the SFC's.

The rear ends will interchange. You'll want the whole brake booster, master cylinder and proportioning valve, too.
