Do you just want to replace the balljoint or will you be replacing the rest of the suspension parts as well?
I believe autozone rents balljoint pullers. You can also put a jack directly under the balljoint and use a 2x4 to brace the a-arm against the body. Then simply raise the jack to pop it out. I recomend replacing the a-arm bushings at the same time though. Then take the hole a-arm to a shop and have them replace the bushings and balljoints in one shot (assuming you don't have a press)

I wont be keeping this car - but the ball joints (and shocks) are rediculously trashed. I plan to just replace the ball joints. Nothing fancy on this one...
