brake downgrade?
Does anyone know if the 10.5" rotors and calipers will bolt up to a rearend that came with the 11.7" rotors? I have a 1989 Formula 350 that has the 9 bolt rear. I want to put 15" rims on the car, but I'm having problems getting a 15" wheel to fit over the rear brake setup. Can I just go buy new rotors and calipers for a 88' Formula and put them on? I know that the emergency brake system is totally different, and that the e-brake is what adjusts the brakes on the 88 and older cars. I don't care about that, I can manually adjust them every so often. I just need to know if physically the calipers and rotors will bolt up to the caliper bracket on my rear end.

You'd have to change the backing plates.
I thought stock 15" wheels should clear the PBR brakes though?

Backing plates, brake lines (both the hard line on the axle & rubber line going to the calipers), (if you cared about e-brakes) e-brake handle assy, e-brake cable, rotors, calipers, pads, pad retention clips, e-brake lever (with the weights on it), lever return springs, spring damper, caliper retention bolts... More than a few items to swap out. But since so many are going the opposite direction these should be pretty cheap. Lon
