Falken Azenis 255/50ZR-16's on an IROC

Guys,

I have an 88 IROC with the 16" wheels. The stock size tire is 245/50-R16 The nearest size Azenis tire is 255/50ZR-16

Will this tire fit without banging on the car? Would I be more likely to see problems on the inside of the tire or the outside?

Our autocross club is going to do a group buy and I want to make sure that I will not cause problems for myself if I get them.

Any help would be appreciated

I ran that same size on my car and didn't have a problem. I even got 11.5's in the 1/4 out of my Falken's. I kind of wish they made them in 315/35-17's but...........nope.

LIL QIK -

Do you have any suspension mods on your car or is it all stock? I am drooling over these tires and want to be 100% sure that this will work OK.

Thanks

Car: 2004 GTO
Engine: LS1
Transmission: T-56
I have 255/50/16 BFG ZR tires on my Formula. No problems, other than a little rubbing on the front inner fenderwell when turning at full lock at parking lot speeds.

The car that I had them on was a lowered RS. It had the Jegster Torque arm, edelbrock trailing arms, and the Lakewood adjustable panhard rod. I really don't see you having any problems runnnig that size tire. I've transfered all that stuff to my z28 and now running 315/35-17s' and not having any problems. Ofcourse I've massaged the inner fender well with a sledge since I've gone to the big tires.
