NEW PRODUCT Billet Aluminum Rear Hatch Hinges

Finally an answer to those bent rear hatch hinges that cause your hatch to sag all the way to the back of the car. These 100% brand new hatch hinges are made from 7075 aircraft aluminum which is just as strong if not stronger than steel! They come completely assembled just like in the picture with new stainless steel hardware, new and improved bushings and pins, and also anodized black for a clean factory look!

I have 5 and I was always under the impression that the saggin was due to the rear panel "floating" backwards since it's glued and clamped in place. The gaps on the front of the glass always seem fine and tight, as tight as on my low mile 88 on all of them.

Yeah its from the shocks pushing the rear deck lid back not the hinges

I dont know how well built the OEM hinges are but I wonder if properly working OEM struts or good quality aftermarket struts are causing the OEM hinges to distort. I just installed new struts and it literally requires two hands to pull the hatch down. I cannot pop the hatch from the console for fear that it will smash the glass from the hatch raising extremely fast. I have to use the key and hold the decklid with one hand and ease it up.
