hawks, is anyone answering emails?
I used the contact form on the website to inquire about the problem with my spoiler. Haven't heard a thing
The problem is clearly visible in these pics, this thing is crooked beyond belief and totally useless. I see no way how to correct this, in other words...it's junk. What can be done to remedy the situation? The studs were also crooked on the side that is warped but that wasn't so big a problem.

I don't know but that just looks bad. I mean I haven't seen anyone besides Hawks selling it and if they are the only one. Wouldn't it be nice to check it for 5-10 minutes before shipping it? Jesus
That spoiler is on my want list but its getting lower and lower on priority. I would even pay for their time to inspect it and hell even test fit it before shipping it to me.

Re: hawks, is anyone answering emails?
I bought it from them, off ebay. I got a discount there because there's a chip on one corner and a crack in one of the side pieces. That was stated in the ad, not a big deal. I can fix that and I was going to possibly modify it anyway, cutting off the long side legs of the side pieces and maybe installing a 3rd brake light. The ad said nothing about it being warped and as such completely useless. I also had to have this thing shipped to me in the Netherlands (I had it shipped to a buddy so it could ship w/ other stuff) Easily another 150$ wasted on shipping an then also on import duties and taxes calculated over the cost + shipping. I have half a K worth of useless spoiler sitting here and I'm not happy.
The fit is not perfect either but I could have lived with that, it takes some modifications to get it snug on the rear panels, there's also some drilling required (they do state that) again not an issue....but now, if I don't use it I will have additional holes, some factory holes enlarged because of crooked studs ... ugh.... it's pissing me off to no end.
Seems like all I get is junk. I bought some brand new coil over shocks a couple years ago, they are for my 77 pro touring. Car is finally ready for inspection to get a title & license plate and now one of the brand new 0 mile shocks is leaking and moaning.
I could go on and on, I think some companies send their junk here because it's too expensive to ship it back and usually once it gets here, clears customs and all the credit card claim period has passed

There is a Hawks account on ThirdGen but they haven't been logged in since you created this thread:

Re: hawks, is anyone answering emails?
This is going to be problematic, I got this short & blunt reply
"Ours are made on the back of a Camaro @ our fiberglass shop. I don't
believe this is one of our spoilers..."
I think this means, F you, tough luck.
I'm so pissed off now I can't see straight.

WOW I cant believe how warped that spoiler is. They should at the very minimum replace it and cover the shipping.

Re: hawks, is anyone answering emails?
You stated you bought this on eBay, correct? Did you buy it directly from Hawks on eBay?
If the answer to the above is Yes for both questions, I cannot see how there can be a dispute as you would have a record transaction with them via eBay for a spoiler from their account. Hard to dispute that?
I searched their account on eBay and I couldn't find any listing for such an item that was also marked as damaged, but you can only go so far in eBay history without an auction id.

Re: hawks, is anyone answering emails?
OK GUYS First off CALM DOWN, We have been VERY BUSY at the shop and have just been behind to be honest,I have a full staff working overtime to get caught up, if there is a problem all you need to do is call the shop or email me personally @ Brucehawkins@hawksthirdgenparts.com . Please as our valued customer please understand one thing above all we want your continued business and support because with out it you cant stay in business for ever, so with that being said if there is EVER a problem call or email, if you email PLEASE be patient as it could take a day or two as we get anywhere from 100-300 emails a day, calling will get the fastest response for those that cant wait, PLEASE UNDERSTAND if there is a problem I want it FIXED so for the spoiler problem I WANT IT FIXED but sometimes it takes a little while, And it is never really good to not try every avenue before going on a public forum and making it look like a CO. is trying to SCREW you ( exspecially when you bought it as is on EBAY not from HAWKS. Even with all that being said you purchased something that does not look right in the pics even to me and we manufactured the part and we do make it on a car as stated in the feedback , first step is get it back here and let me fit and look if it is as warped as it is in the pic I will replace it period and pay for shipping. I wish you guys would understand to always try all avenues and be patient so we can fix what ever is wrong , we want YOUR SUPPORT and we want to SUPPORT YOU ,you have to give us a chance and time, I give you my word I WILL ALWAYS do what is right period. BASHING on a public forum is not the right way.
Sincerely ,
Bruce Hawkins

Re: hawks, is anyone answering emails?
I bought it on ebay from you, the seller was camarohawk your own ebay shop, not someone else. When clicking on the "me" link in ebay it clearly has the same banner as your website and it states it's hawks thirdgen. I also didn't know someone else was selling these? It was advertised as having a small chip and a little crack in a side piece. I didn't mind because I was going to modify the side pieces anyway and the chip is an easy fix. Figured I'd save a couple of dollars. However, if the ad had mentioned it was crooked I would have never bought it.
It cost me a couple hundred to ship it to me in the Netherlands, if I have to ship it back it'll cost me even more. I would be better off to just buy a new one straight away, shipping fees for large stuff like this is insane, especially if it's packaged in a super oversized box so it doesn't get damaged.
You don't have to pay for shipping to me, I can not expect that but I do have a US shipping address.

Re: hawks, is anyone answering emails?
Dear Hawks rep,
I see your status shows you were online today. I sent a couple of emails over the last week and didn't get a reply. Is my email not making it there? Last reply I got was from the 9th.
My inquiry is still about the spoiler. Has it been sent out yet? I was promised it would go the week following the 9th of this month.
Thanks
Marck
