FYI Lee Mfg in Sunland "rebuilt" my steering box and power steering pump for my F250 - 2500 miles ago. The steering box still had play after I installed it. Now the pump shaft is wobbling and the fluid cavitating. No response to my email to them sent almost a month ago.

I was about 5 blocks from his shop yesterday. I could have thrown a brick through his front window for ya.

Unfortunately that guy has slipped {alztheimers or Dimensia (sp?)] and was still trying to do the work. The guys to go to now is Turn One.

That's sad news, Tom treated me right all the years we raced sprint cars.

It is Jerry. I agree I've bought a few boxes from him over the years, and last time we talked about 4 years ago he admitted to me he was getting "Sometimers" pretty badly and is really getting forgetful. I had a few call backs from the wrong parts being sent to me after that conversation and I got his wife on the phone and she told me first hand that he is slipping but is being stubborn and wants to keep running things like he always has. She said she was having to clean up some of hims mistakes and she deeply apologized for it. Again, that was four years ago.

Dean

What is really unfortunate is all the unlnowing people still paying good money for a reputable product they have no idea what personal issues this guy now has. Money lost. They really need to close shop and stop taking peoples money if they can no longer provide the service.

I'm on my third (bad) box from him. 2 sloppy 800 series boxes and 1 sloppy 600 series. I was going to take my 600 back to him, but I think it's rather pointless now.

Re: FYI Lee Mfg Sunland, Ca

Had a box built by him yrs ago paid top buck waited forever and got the ol "If you dont like it too fn bad"
well got the car running 2 yrs ago box was tight for 50 mi now has slop
Called him to see if he can take a look at it (never once blamed fingerpointed or whines) and got the same old FU attitude PLUS he wanted to charge as if he was building a new box all over again. Oh yeah wait a month or two also.

I say screw him and the horse he rode in on no sympathy here. What comes around goes around sorry pal! Pizz poor business
