We are going to start off with a meet and greet from 2-5PM followed by a Sunset Cruise from Newport Beach to Huntington Beach for a Club Bonfire.

As always our meets are open to all 3rd gen owners from all areas so please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself!

In addition to my responding to the many emails & PM's I have received regarding the particulars of what's happening after our upcoming Sonic Meet next weekend...

Yes, we are planning on having a bonfire at Huntington Beach after the Sonic Meet! The cost is $15 to park adjacent to the fire pits or there is hourly parking available along PCH. Those that will be joining us in HB for the bonfire please let me know what you will be bringing so we don't double up on anything...

Items needed:

Wood
Snacks (chips, cookies, etc.)
Beverages (non-alcoholic)
Goodies for Smores
Skewers

...and of course, let's not forget chairs, blankets, and/or anything that makes you comfortable during a summer evening beach-side with friends

For those that can't make the meet and would like to join us in Huntington Beach for the Bonfire. We should be arriving at the beach between 5:45-6PM. I will post location information (i.e. lifeguard tower number) on the day...

What a nice surprise having SC3G get together for a beach party almost in my backyard! As I'm almost within walking distance, I'll be sure to join everyone on the beach. I discovered almost by accident that showing my military ID card got me into the parking lot FREE. Also, keep in mind that although it has been hot inland, the beaches might be quite chilly when the sun goes down, so bring those jackets and blankets. Here's a link to the HB webcam.

Did anyone make it out to Huntington Beach? I waited out there until close to 7 p.m., but nobody rolled into the parking lot. I figured it was getting too late for the bonfire conclusion to the cruise...

We sure did... We got there about 5:30 and left a little after 8. We were right between lifeguard towers 15 and 17 as stated in my previous post.

Me too - I circled the parking lot from 6:30-7 p.m. and didn't see any ThirdGens in the parking lot, so I gave up. I guess I should have gone on the whole cruise, sigh. Next time!

WOW! Yeah, deliberately parked our cars together back in the 4th row with no cars around us so they would be in plain sight. 3 people arrived after we got there and they were able to find us without any problems. Next time give me a call and I'll guide you in
