Re: Junk Yard Heads Up
I went to the two Pick-your-Part yards in Stanton & Anaheim Wednesday and pulled some parts and stashed them in foreign cars across the yard. I had 9AM breakfast reservations at Knotts, then returned to pay for the parts at half-off. As I predicted there was no parking at the Anaheim yard and a long line that took 45 minutes. The yard on Katella was a breeze by comparison. I had a lot of time to chat with the guy behind me in line at the first yard. He had a front end for a 87 Civic. He told me he pulled it 3 days earlier and stashed it in a domestic van.
My haul for the day: Five headlight motors, two headlight modules, two 91-92 pull-down motors and a Firebird tail light lens.
Back to Knotts in time for the first ice show.

Re: Junk Yard Heads Up
Another "heads-up". A burgundy 1989 Firebird Formula was planted 11/28 at the Ecology yard in Wilmington. It had a complete grey interior. The seats were worn, but all else was in very good shape. Too bad the dash pad had two cracks on the drivers side. The TPI engine was there with complete intake in place. Also it had a 9-bolt rear end with PBR brakes (most likely a 3.27 considering it was an auto-equipped car). I was there Tuesday and snagged the rear hatch motor, arm rest, headlight control module, sway bars and all 4 tires and rims.
