Re: looking for a vortec 350 engine

Yea thats what I was looking to do is rebuild them and port and polish I have a l05 truck block with flat tappet was trying to put about 300 rwhp and better top end power having hard time choosing. Cam tho I don't. Want a really choppy exhuast note but that's a trade off I guess when upgrading cam and deciding if I want to make it a roller

Where are you located are there iron

Re: looking for a vortec 350 engine

im looking to redue my exhuast due to bad workmanship by last owner would your headers fit the vortec heads just double checking fitment and would i lose low end and mid range torque future goal is to be 350-400 fwhp i plan to get the y pipe to with 3in cat and magaflow 3 in cat back exhuast

the only other headers that seem to fit the bill in quality and performans are hooker 2055 with y pipe

I designed mine to be far superior to the Hookers or Headmans
Including the Y-pipe.

You will more likely need more cubic inches for a Vortec build to reach 400rwhp. Im at 389rwhp with a 383ci Vortec.
