Re: LA Invasion TNT Drag Racing Video May 29, 2011

Thanks for the cool videos Mike. It took me four passes to finally get things right such as tire pressure, launch and my driving. I need to get out to the track more often to sharpen up my skills. Maybe a few times to Irwindale is in order. I also do not think my present torque converter matches my car all that well. I will be going back to the PT-4000 as that seemed to be a better fit. I should have been a couple of miles per hour higher for one thing. Also I saw a picture of my car during the last launch and there is air under the right front tire. Could not tell about the left.

For those interested this guy has pictures from the Invasion and is selling them. I bought a couple. My car is on page 6 number 0136 for example. That is the one with air under the tire.

Looking at the way Don's car jumped off the line in the video, I wouldn't be surprised if he got air too.

From where I was standing you were dropping numbers on every pass. The 11.5 was just a little icing on the cake. Well done

Dude, there was way to much action not to capture it on film and share it with everyone.

I bet you are right.
The original high-res footage clearly shows that he definitely got air. Pretty sick...

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to make it due to other commitments I had made but decided to come out anyway. I spoke to your brother for a little bit after he had just finished running Vince and I looked for you but like you said, it was packed! Happy to see you guys were able to make it out

It went good, no trophy however. I got a lot of real good compliments and I met/was introduced to some real great folks.

The Public Relations officer from classic industries came over and introduced himself, he told me that they are getting an increase in demand for 3rd gen parts. He seemed interested in 3rd gens, I hope this means that they will start producing more resto parts for our cars. He gave me his card and told me to contact him about a possible feature. We will see what happens.....

That's awesome! Your car belongs on the cover of their F Body Catalogue
