Tony Mamo's pushing the LSx bench a little more. Latest creation is:

Built LS3
AFR 230 "V2"
SCAT crank
Callies Compstar rods
Wiseco pistons
Ported FAST 102

Made 658 hp and 581 tq. With a 15% drivetrain loss it puts down 560rwhp and 494 rwtq all motor!!!

Impressive numbers as well. I guess the lsx platform catches ur attention . I usually do research on the new ford mustang 5.0 and terminators cobras . They are getting fast. But I thought u guys didn't build race engines or relate your guys research with carbed applications. Isn't that part of the tpi norm..?

Looks like you can, just might require some intake mods, but from what I hear you are already doing that.

^^^ That is a ridiculously huge cam hence the peak numbers vs. power under the curve of the LS3 413 (500+ lbs of torque @3000rpm)

If going through all the effort of emulating LSx design (internal and external engine components) might as well just slap an LSx in there and save some cash instead of reinventing the wheel only to choke it off with a restrictive intake. Just doesn't seem practical for the average Joe but too each their own, definitely takes some ingenuity
