Thanks Prostreet Assasins..powdercoated headers!!

During my spring break I wanted to do some work on my Z28 so I spoke to Gene about having my stainless steel headers Ceramic Coated(not powder coated). I was in a time crunch since its my daily driver, luckily Gene and Slick were able to take care of me and have them back to me in a few days. Great prices and great customer service. You guys need to visit their shop and check out the projects they're working on.

Here are some pics:

I am guessing that yesterday that I went to their shop they were talking about your headers
I didn't see them in person but they musto mention it and I over heard

Also Gene and Brian were suggesting to me also to build me a LS engine from start to finish with all forged internals and work done to heads intake etc
Sounded tempting but have to wait on that

Yeah those guys definitely get the wheels turning in my head. I'm going to take them my LS3 engine as soon as I pick one up. They were working on a red TPI Iroc, was that yours?

They gave me a discount price of $200. Closest price I found was $240 with Young Gunz in Ontario but I hadn't seen any of their work. Gene uses they coating in 1000rwhp applications.

Re: Thanks Prostreet Assasins..powdercoated headers!!

That coating is what they use on the nitro funnycars! Its better than the shiney stuff because it has a higher thermal threshod than the shiney stuff! the copper looking coating("on the inside") is to spread the heat evenly over the insided of the tube!
We (PRO STREET TERRORIST/GENE JONES RACING) use it on the tops of our pistons on top of the NITRO COAT we put on the piston's to protect them from a melt down in a FUBARed situation

oh yea
GLAD WE COULD HELP YOU OUT FAST1

DO NOT DO IT

Do not have slic do anything for you!!! You will definately regret it!!!! I had a motor built from him and when I told him that I wanted to get it dynoed and he threw a **** fit. He kept saying that they are going to **** up my motor and some other ****. I told him that if he did a good job that he shouldnt worry about it. I even invited him to go with and watch! Well I started to feel uncomfortable with what he had done. I bought ARP 2000's and that is not what he put in the motor. He said that they were just as good...NOT THE POINT *******!!!!. He took about 2 years to have it done. I was told from a very good informant that he is boring all of his motors 120 over. I was told from someone that had some head work done by him that he was hand porting the heads then when he told slic that he was going to get them flow tested he had a fit. When the person flow tested the heads, they were told that they preformed worse then if they were stock!!!! Slic charging him 2-4K. I had my motor re quilt and it was bored 120 over, the block was decked wayyyyyy to much so the pistons were sticking way out. The valves were not put in properly. I was told from these more legit company that if I would have ran the enging I would have been F**ked. He is going to be getting sued real soon. He will try to take you for everything he can. Gene is a cool dude and tries to run his side of the business right. If you try to get your product before HE WANTS TO give it to you he comes up with some lame *** excuses, like its at the machin shop. Gene doesnt even trust him, he has to go and check all of the torque specs when Slic isn't around becuase he doesn't trust that he did it right! That should say something to you!!! So again do not have anything built by this scam artist mother F**ker!!!

Wow that's just a crazy story there.. Sounds like ppl trying to shoot down Slic there.. I think I heard a lil about this story but can't recall what Slic said.

I'm just researching Gene Jones Racing I do every once in awhile for Gene.. When he needs parts etc.

Gene Jones Racing Is not with Pro Street Terrorists any longer.. It's been several years.
