hey i wanna get more involve with the socal group so i figure id ask this question to get to know you guys, and to introduce my 3rd gen,

My firebird used to belong to my uncle, the day he brought it home I knew I wanted a car just like his, every where we went I had to ride shot gun ( even if that meant putting my aunt in the roomy back seat). Around October of 2004 my dad helped my uncle get a great deal on a brand new f150 so in appreciation my uncle gave me the firebird for my 13th birthday.Five years later im graduating high school and as promised my dad gets the car running even after he moved out and I said I would never see him the same again. He kept his promise. Now he comes every six months to visit and every time he does we work on the car.

my camaro was bought new by my mothers uncle and then my dad bough my camaro back in the 90s and when i turn 16 i was give the 84Z28 because my 1st camaro 92Z28 was wrecked by my brother

i still miss my 92 but i am really happy with my 84.. will never do the same mistake again and let me brother borrow it..
i just hope one day i can give it to a son/daughter of mine in the future
Also it hs the 305 with 5 speed with some mods

Got my car in 03 off an old friend for 400 bucks in h.s.. sold the daytona hood that was on there for 250 bought some irocs for it. It was a bolt on tpi with a mild cambuild by my senior year. Now its a ls1 powered 3rd gen with big brakes, nice wheels and paint.

I had a crummy car and watched too much Knight Rider one summer.
I did a lot of research on 3rd gens and was dead set on doing a "conversion."
Then I found a low mile GTA and learned what I could really do with it!

right before i bought my 91 i looked at about 20... and there was
something wrong with all of them i had one seize up as it was idling on the drive way filling out the pink lol

second bid on ebay and won for $2025. Just had to drive to the valley to pick it up. It was donated to a charity, then a mechanic bought it at auction and resold on ebay.

My mother had an red 91 Z28 when I was about 10 years old. I always wanted one after that. A couple of years ago I felt it was time. I sold my street bike and used that money to buy it. I looked for about 6 months, it had to be in decent shape it had to be red, hardtop, and 5 speed. I found it on autotrader in San Jose. I got on a southwest flight with my dad and drove the car back to Southern California, by the time we got back I was inlove with the car. I have resto/modded the car to its present shape and now I can't stop. It is my project car and is intended to be full out show car one day, but not a trailer queen.

Saw an ad for $1000 on craigslist with exactly what I was looking for TPI, T-tops, stick shift, IROC, black ext, gray int.....the guy was high when I went to pick up so I gave him $800. I could have sold some of the weed bags that I found in the car after bringing it home to offset that price too...lucky I didn't get pulled over before then.

Purchased mine brand new in March 1984. I had a 1980 Z28 and traded it in for the 84 at the now defunct Paramount Cheverolet in Downey Ca. The bad part and a word of advise to the newly married like I was back then. DON'T buy a car without letting the wife know first and let her have some kind of voice in the decision. It was one of my worst mistakes that she never let me live it down. We are now divorced 22 years later and she took everything except one item. The car.

My mom dad bought the car in '92 a week before i was born. then after that week passed i was brought home in it. the car was supposed to go to my older brother but he didnt want to bother restoring her after the 7 year sit. i instead started working in her and got her running in about a week. still currently working on and getting her ready for the streets again.

Yeah, well mine took the car too.

THe only satisfaction I get is thinking how much she gets ripped off every time she now has to have someone try and figure out how to work on all the custom parts on that car. Nothing was stock- you can;t just go to the auto parts store and order lets say brake pads for one of many many examples.

my dad or mom bought the car back in 88' stayed in the family till now.. yeap.. original paint and everything.. nothing modded.. all oem.. and its gonna stay that way. but we all know good things have to come to an end.. and i might just get that urge.. but as far as that goes.. ill just replace worn out parts and i see them go. next is a transmission rebuilt
so yea 1988-2011 23 years in the family.. and around 200k miles..

bought it for $2500 off of a paralyzed navy vet he couldent drive it anymore so he had his grandson sell it..got it when i was 14 but didnt 'drive' it till i was 16 yeasure..haha

been lovin it eversince and im almost 18 now

my firebird was bought used in 1992 by my father, he had it until 2003 when he wrecked it, he asked me if i wanted it and of course i said yes but he made me promise to fix it. I worked on it all through high school and got it running before i graduated. I got a job at Downey Ford and was looking around under the seats one day and found a document saying it was said at that exact dealership where i worked. I love that car, hope that i keep it until i can pass it on to my son(or daughter) you never know.
