SoCalTPI Meeting This Saturday
Just a reminder that the SoCalTPI meeting is this Saturday 10/23/10 at Denny's in Orange on Chapman just West of the 57 freeway and just East of the 5 freeway. I understand there is going to be some interesting items there for display and discussion. You all come.
Edit: Starts at 6:00pm.

Re: SoCalTPI Meeting This Saturday
dam...seems like our meets always fall on the same day
ill have to stay in touch with one of the main members to keep this from happening again...
so can someone thats involved with organizing the socal tpi meets text me or PM me with future meet dates? would be appreciated because some members of sctpi are in the F-Body Empire area as well...just want everyone to attend both as well as SC3G, also dont wanna cause waves

Weather permitting; was anyone else planning on going to Fontana on the 23rd for the national dragster challenge make up race?

Re: SoCalTPI Meeting This Saturday
Thanks for posting this Allen.
Mikey, I thought I had posted here after our August meeting that the next one was on October 23rd, but I guess I only posted it on socaltpi.org . Sorry about that. I'll be sure to let you know when the next meeting will be. By the way, our next San Diego Casino Cruise is penciled in for Saturday November 20th.
Mike, we'll be discussing the next Street Legals at Fontana on the 30th.

Re: SoCalTPI Meeting This Saturday
I had a good time and was one of the last to leave. Hehehe. Nice turnout with 12 cars. Would have had more but Rich's son borrowed his. Lots of good performance information with the show and tell. Plenty of good information to be picked up with all the performance talk going on and actually seeing what needs to be done. We might have a dyno day on December 1 and posible the following weekend if there are enough cars. Still do be determined.

Re: SoCalTPI Meeting This Saturday
Thank you to all 16 people who attended our October meeting. Your support and input is very much appreciated.
We were not able to get the back room due to Denny's having a staff meeting in there, but we made the best of it.
We went around the room with introductions, with each person describing their car and their future plans for it.
We discussed the Big Bear cruise from September, and made plans to do it again next September.
We finalized our plan to have a cruise down to the San Diego area, including stops at Dudley's Bakery in Julian and ending up at our favorite casino, Santa Ysabel. The date will be Saturday November 20th, starting in the afternoon and ending in the evening. More details to come in a separate post.
Don brought a TPIS Miniram and a Champion radiator for show and tell, Luis brought his home-ported TPI intake, and Allen brought his headers and expansion chamber setup that is going on his new engine. Lon showed a magazine with a look back at Trans Am's from the 80's.
We discussed going to the next Fontana Street Legal drags, but unfortunately the next dates on October 30th and December 4th conflict with SCTPI events. We want to dyno our new combinations first before taking them to the race track.
We decided on a date for our next Dyno Day, Saturday December 4th at 9am. Five spots are already filled but we will dyno everyone we can.
Our next meeting will be Saturday January 15th at 6pm. We will probably meet at the same Denny's in Orange.
Again, thank you all for attending and we'll see you at our next events!

Re: SoCalTPI Meeting This Saturday
Looks like im going to HAVE to make this one, I plan to swap my SLOW 3.1 w/ a 700r4 with a L98 / T-5 combo late jan early feb. I have a complete camaro that im gutting out all wiring, smog, evap.... I want to do this job RIGHT no hack job. I even plan on removing my dash to better place the wiring (really its due to my heater core went out on me last week) I have a few little questions like will i have to reflash due to the camaro is a auto, can i still wire in my VATS to the new ecm...... stuff like that. Im not scared of wiring im good at it with alldata and all my gear i know i can do it. I just dont want to hold up two lifts at the shop for to long, so i just want to have everything ready BEFORE i start
