I just finish checking out my camaro and everything looks well
I was gonna go an oil change but i did one 700 miles ago full sythetic (thanks to my dad ) so i am good there
I am gonna change out the coolant and replace it with new one since it has been a while
Also i guess i am not going alone to the meeting other then my camaro i am having my friend come along with me..
so hopefully tomorrow give my car a good wash in/out
Can wait to see everyone in the meeting..

Roscoe has construction the road kinda sucks as of about a month ago you may want to get off at Sherman Way East turn left at Van Nuys Blvd after you go under the railroad tracks it is on the right.
plus there are more gas stations on Sherman Way.

I had some problem also with my camaro, the electric fan just gave up and i didnt notice until i started seeing the temp gauge go all the up to 260 degrees.. when i looked under my hood my fan was not working...
so i had to bypass the relay and the fan worked again....
Now i have to rewire the relay with the fan to make it work for when i turn on the car if not then i will have to turn on the fan by connecting it with the battery directly
see everyone tomorrow i will be at the starbucks around 6:20~6:30am

WOW! What a pain in the keister to change spark plugs in my 305 TBI. The O2 sensor was no breeze either and neither was the idler arm! Oh well, I got it all done and it only took me 5 hours and some beer lol. It was dark when I finished washing my car lol. It runs like a champ now though.
We'll see how these Accel U-Groove spark plugs work out. I just want a little better fuel millage. I still need to seefoam it, but I havnt cuz I didn't want to be blowing white smoke out my tail pipe on the way to the meet. SEE YOU ALL TOMORROWZ!

I'm Out!
I had been scratching items off my list to be ready to roll. However....
I've replaced 2 Tranny mounts and I still have play under the car. The tranny clunks an hits when the rear wheels go over speed bumps or dips. So there's something else going on..... Frustrating
And I need to get my cooling situation stabilized...
Everyone have a blast!

Great meet. Meet new friends and some old ones.
The weather was hot - but remember "it's a dry heat"
Good breakfast for $5 + $1.5 for drinks.
40 + cars at the show.
20 on the cruise.
Only 3 breakdowns and all those were fixable.
Some of us missed a left turn - need a bigger sign I guess. Signs can be missed at x0mph.
I hope everyone enjoyed it - I did.
Next time lets do it between Nov and Feb

Re: SC3G July Car Show & Super Cruise @ The Plant Sunday July 18th, 2010!
We had some joke that for some of us we won't forget including what happened inside Home Town Buffet.. I can't wait for the next meeting..
Also to bad I couldn't get some video of us in the cruise coming from LB heading to the Van Nuys meeting there where to many CHP and didn't wanted to get in trouble recording a video while driving... it was nice to see people looking at us as we were cruising to the meeting.. there were some people that couldn't keep their eyes out of our cars which was pretty nice to see
Yeah next time I am gonna try to make it for the super cruise hopefully it will be cooler next time...
I am gonna upload a video my friend recorded on youtube tomorrow, so hopefully by mid day tomorrow it should be fully uploaded... and get some pic uploaded also

Re: SC3G July Car Show & Super Cruise @ The Plant Sunday July 18th, 2010!
Another huge success! The event went off without a hitch thankfully. Final count 43 3rd gens on deck at the Plant and 20 cars for the Super Cruise.
Special thanks to Jerry (JERRYWHO) for making and donating over a 100 “SC3G.org Van Nuys 2010” commemorative decals and special thanks to Rod (Trucker) for suggesting the Plant as a show venue, setting up at several points along the cruise route to take pictures & video, and securing the perfect restaurant as a final destination. Again, I can’t thank you guys enough for your contributions to the club/event.
As for everyone else that took the time to come out and join us, I hope everyone had a great time. I know there were a couple of gentlemen that traveled great distances to be with us yesterday (Santa Cruz & Temecula) I hope the event proved to be well worth the drive
I did my best to get around and talk to everyone but with the amount of people that were present it was extremely difficult. However based on the feedback I received from the people I had an opportunity to speak with, there is overwhelming interest in doing this cruise again when it’s a little cooler. So keep your eyes open for our fall cruise possibly in September or November.
As a result of the event SC3G had 5 new member signups on the website immediately after the show and 3 more this morning. Again, this is exactly why we do events like this…
Thanks again guys, it was a blast!

How hot was it?
If I drove too close to someone else, or especially behind Vincent in his SUV, it would disturb the airflow under my car, the temp gauge would creep up, and the infamous "maybe Multec" injectors would lock open and flood my engine. That will teach me to tailgate people! It ran flawlessly all the way there and all the way home to the South Bay.
It was great meeting and talking to everyone, and I thank Lon and Tom who baby-sat me while I waited for the injectors to cool off, and the rest of the troops who avoided 'giving me a unintended push" when it would just die.

Do all the f bodies with v8 engines run hot?
my v6 never runs hot in my firebird or blinding yellow frontier.
