Engine Cleaning Question

Hello everyone, I am pretty new to TGO and I have a question I hope you all may be able to help me with. I want to clean my engine (exterior), and was wondering if anyone knew of a place where I can get it steam cleaned, in South East L.A area or Orange County. I usually wash the engine on my other vehicle with mild degreaser and a pressure gun. That works great with my truck but I have a feeling it will cause problems with my Camaro. If anyone knows of a recomendable place I would appreciate your info. Thanks.

Re: Engine Cleaning Question

I am not too far from long beach, I will check them out, thanks. Depending on the price I might just do the simple green and pressure hose. It is not too dirty up on top (mostly dusty) but the bottom is super cruddy. Ill post a befor picture and then an after picture. Thanks.

Re: Engine Cleaning Question

All I needed was a bunch of degreaser and a pressure washer and you will be good. Then after I got some armorall and sprayed the hole engine with it and its shiny till this day.

Re: Engine Cleaning Question

Well I finally got around to cleaning the engine this weekend. I used some degreaser I bought at the car wash supply store near my house. It is pretty good stuff. it came out nice without staining the engine or any parts.

Re: Engine Cleaning Question

Now get some armorall and spray it done then let it sit then after a couple of hours wipe it down then it will look even better.
