There are two junkyards on Blinn Ave. I like them both. If you're nice to the guys who check you on the way out, they'll give you a free pass or at least a discount for the other yard (pick your part owns both).
Also keep a look out for their 50% off everything sales, and get there EARLY.

i live in Ventura county..... there is one junk yard here that lets u pull out the parts yourself but its not really that big.. and they always only have sport coupe camaros, in rare occasions an iroc or two, and there has never been an 91-92 z28 and that is what im looking for and other misc. parts.

Re: any good junkyards
I've been to eleven of the local yards. Sun Valley yards and Blinn yards have better selection usually, but I'll hit the yards on Beach & Katella regularly with success too. It often depends on luck. I usually stay away from them on half-price weekends unless I've pre-stashed items.
I have a question. Has anyone paid to enter the premium yards inside some of these yards? I haven't yet. It pisses me off to pay for a double entry fee. Besides, I rationalize it that I'm not seeking parts for a new car.

ive gone to the primo yard in wilmington a couple times. not worth it, maybe because it was half price day. theres not a lot of cars and theyre all tore up. I went to the one in la mirada because my buddy told me there was an omega there. They had a good selection of thirdgens, there was a 90 iroc and one car had a high rise on it. Anytime the anaheim one has something good, someone already got to it. Its pretty much all about luck, or if you have a friend that isnt into third gens and frequents the yards

I don't remember seeing a single camaro with the aero ground effects. Most of the camaros at that yard had damaged ground effects because of how they had been positioned on the stands.

I was there yesterday, saw around 6 third gen camaros and 2 or 3 firebirds. They were all torn apart pretty badly though. I think your better off finding someone parting out their car.

I live just down the street from there and I frequent it alot. They're ok but the camaro's that are there are pretty torn up. La Mirada is usually pretty good. I have'nt been to the one on beach but I hear they usually have a couple decent camaro's. Good Luck!

Re: any good junkyards
In the last 2-3 years that I've gone to the wilmington and anaheim yards I've only found 1-2 firebirds per trip, if that. Except on those good days where I might find 3 but it's pretty rare. Back in 2003 I could tear down 6-7 good firebirds if I wanted on one day alone. Sometimes I'd find a complete TPI setup that looked like it had been sitting.
